Proposal Flowers & Setups in Orange County

Proposal Flowers & Setups Orange County — From $500

From $500

We’ll design your proposal setup

Most proposals we build are designed rather than picked off a shelf — the flowers, the scale, the petals and the staging, put together for the spot you’ve chosen. Tell us the scene and our Irvine studio comes back with a design and a firm price before anything is charged.

  • Setups from $500; most land between $500 and $1,500 depending on scale.
  • Built and staged anywhere in Orange County, or handed to you ready to place.
  • No payment step — you see the design and the price first.

Ready-made for a proposal

If you’d rather buy than brief, these are built to carry and photograph as they are. Anything larger or staged is a custom setup.

Most proposals we build now are designed rather than picked off a shelf — petals, a hand-carried piece, staging for the spot you have chosen, put together for the moment you have in mind. Custom proposal setups start at $500, we design them at our Irvine studio, and we build and deliver anywhere in Orange County. Tell us what you are picturing and we come back with a design and a price before you pay anything.

A proposal setup we design for you — from $500

You have one shot at the photograph, and a bouquet handed over in a car park is not what most people have in their head when they picture it. So tell us the scene instead of picking a product: where it is happening, what time of day, how many people will be watching, and what she actually likes. We come back with a design and a firm price, and nothing is charged until you have both.

Proposal setups run from $500 up to around $1,500 depending on scale — the size of the floral piece, how much petal and candle work the setting needs, and whether we are staging it at the location or handing everything to you ready to place. A beach, a rooftop, a restaurant table and a living room are four different builds, and the price follows the build rather than a menu.

Start your proposal brief → It takes two minutes, there is no payment step, and it reaches the same studio queue as the phone.

What we need to know

  • Where and when — the venue or address, the date, and the hour it needs to be standing. Outdoor spots and anywhere with a booking usually need us there earlier than people expect.
  • The scale you are picturing — a single dramatic piece to hand over, or something built into the space. A photo of the look you have saved tells us more than a paragraph does.
  • Her flowers and her colours — and anything to avoid. Allergies matter, and so does the dress.
  • Your budget — a real number, even a rough one. We design to it rather than up from it.
  • Whether anyone is photographing it — it changes how a piece is built, because it has to read from the camera's side rather than from every side equally.

The ready-made statement piece

If you would rather buy than brief, the Blushing Rose Bear at $1,095 is the one arrangement on our shelf built for this. It is a full rose sculpture rather than a bouquet, it survives being carried and photographed, and it does not wilt while you wait for the right moment. Order it like anything else and it is yours the same day inside the cutoff.

Sending flowers to a friend who just got engaged is a different errand, and a cheaper one — that is the engagement flowers page, where a hand-tied bouquet under $100 is exactly right.

Flowers that work for a proposal

  • Red roses — nobody has ever looked at long-stem reds and wondered what they meant. At setup scale they are the spine of most designs.
  • White and blush roses — softer, and they photograph better against a dark suit or an evening beach than deep red does.
  • Peonies, in season — extravagant without shouting, and the one bloom people reliably gasp at.
  • A hand-carry piece — anything that holds its shape one-handed matters when the other hand has a ring in it.
  • Preserved roses — they last a year rather than a week, so the flowers from the proposal are still on the shelf at the wedding.

What to skip: lilies (they read as sympathy, and the pollen stains a dress), carnations, and anything still in cellophane.

Timing, pickup and delivery across Orange County

Setups are scheduled with you, so the date is whatever the design needs — for anything staged on location we agree an arrival window and hold it. Ready-made arrangements are same-day: order by 8 PM Pacific and it is built and driven out that day, a flat $10 inside Irvine and $20 to the rest of Orange County, with no rush tier and no same-day surcharge.

Plenty of people proposing collect instead, because they want the flowers in their own hands before the moment rather than left at a door. Pickup is free at CUP by Blue Hummingbird Coffee, 385 Novel STE B3, Irvine — we meet you outside, so you are not carrying a bouquet through a shop. Tell us the hour and we will have it ready. (Our Irvine studio is a workroom rather than a shop floor, which is why collection happens there.)

Roses are happiest cool and dry. If you are proposing in the evening, collect or take delivery that afternoon rather than the day before, keep them out of a hot car, and leave the wrap on until the last minute.

Where we build proposals

Every Irvine village and across Orange County — Newport Beach and Balboa Island, Corona del Mar, Laguna Beach, Costa Mesa, Tustin, Orange, Anaheim, Huntington Beach and Dana Point. Hotels, restaurants and beach car parks are all routine; for a venue, check what they allow before you book us, because candles and anything anchored are the two things that get refused. See our Irvine florist page for studio hours and pickup, or same-day flower delivery for the cutoff in full.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a proposal flower setup cost?

Custom proposal setups start at $500 and most land between $500 and $1,500. The price follows the build — the size of the floral piece, how much petal and candle work the setting needs, and whether we stage it on location or hand it to you ready to place. Tell us your budget and we design to it; you see a design and a firm price before anything is charged.

Do you design custom proposal setups, or just sell bouquets?

We design them. Describe the scene — where, what time, how many people are watching, what she likes — on our custom request form and we come back with a design and a price. If you would rather buy something ready-made, the Blushing Rose Bear at $1,095 is the one piece on our shelf built for this.

What flowers are best for a proposal?

Red roses are the spine of most proposal designs, because the meaning is never in doubt. White or blush roses photograph better against a dark suit or an evening beach, peonies are the bloom people actually gasp at when they are in season, and a hand-carry piece holds its shape one-handed while the other hand has the ring. Skip lilies: they read as sympathy, and the pollen stains a dress.

How far in advance should I book a proposal setup?

A few days is comfortable for most designs and a week is better for anything staged on location, because venues and outdoor spots need checking first. Ready-made arrangements are still same-day — order by 8 PM Pacific and we deliver that day across Irvine and Orange County, a flat $10 inside Irvine and $20 further out. If it is tight, call (657) 245-4736 and we will tell you what is possible before you pay.

Can I pick up proposal flowers instead of having them delivered?

Yes, and plenty of people proposing do. Pickup is free at CUP by Blue Hummingbird Coffee, 385 Novel STE B3, Irvine — we meet you outside with the arrangement. Tell us the hour you need it and it will be ready. (Our Irvine studio is a workroom rather than a shop floor, which is why collection happens there.)

Do you build proposals in Newport Beach, Laguna and the rest of Orange County?

Yes — every Irvine village plus Newport Beach, Balboa Island, Corona del Mar, Laguna Beach, Costa Mesa, Tustin, Orange, Anaheim, Huntington Beach and Dana Point. Hotels, restaurants and beach car parks are all routine. For a venue, check what they allow before you book us: candles and anything anchored are the two things that get refused.

Can you time it for the exact moment?

For a setup we agree an arrival window and hold it, and we call the number on the order if anything threatens it. For a ready-made arrangement that has to land to the minute — a restaurant table, a photographer, a boat — collect it yourself that afternoon instead. It removes the only variable we do not control, which is traffic.

Ready to Plan the Moment?

Describe what you have in mind and we will come back with a design and a price. Setups start at $500.
